Since March last year, the doors of many venues across the country have remained closed, including the Race Party doors at our Hawthorn East venue. With every update and government press release we have been eagerly waiting to see when we could reopen and return to action. Unfortunately given the set up of the Race Party track controllers and the need for guests to be standing in such close proximity, we have been guided by authorities that we are unable to operate until significant changes are in place. As we are unable to have adequate social distancing or work within the guidelines of one person per 2 square metres we are very limited until there is an effective distribution of a covid vaccine in place.
While we are continuing to run our online sessions and get togethers, we are also using this period to look for a new and improved location for future Race Party events. Our Hawthorn East venue has been an amazing home, however this downtime has allowed us to look at what improvements can be made, and how we can maximise the number of guests we can include in our events. A different location will allow senior and disabled guests incapable of using the spiral staircase to access the venue with greater ease, an increased area for parents and guests to relax and enjoy a coffee while waiting for loved ones, and an open area for all new and exciting events experiences; just a few of the reasons for a change. We will keep everyone up to date on our search as well as any other changes as they arise.
